| School Story: | Always remember Nick Polos going down to the teachers lounge to have a smoke when he gave out the tests for the class to so we could cheat and he could hear us thru the register in the wall heater... Also Nick giving us hall passes to go down town and run errands for him... And the day I was taking him home from school in the old red MG and he thought I was going too fast and turned off the ignition on Indian Hill and threw the keys into the gutter and I just kept on coasting along...the two of us had to walk back a couple of blocks with all the students laughing and find them... Also the cherry bomb incidents...one over the math classroom and the flood and the other in the boys locker room where pieces of white porcilain went clear to the coache's office...wonder no one was killed... And of course Adams and the Circus Mobile 55 Buick with the moons and flames one month and scallops the next by Van Dutch...WOW... Roger P. and his great voice and guitar and his and my consistent side kick Moye S. and his ability to drive a car much faster than it was designed to go... And the football games and the dances and so much spirit and fun...great group of kids... Ms. Turner our art instructor and a person who sent many of us on to greater things... GOOD TIMES AT CHS... |
